Brendan, this is a great idea! Baking is such a good way to bring people together and give them a sense of achievement. Wonderful that you will be doing the same thing in care homes-let us know how you get on. Has been a joy to watch you every Tuesday in GBBO, your skill and expertise is astounding! Not only that, but your calm and unflappable nature comes through on every show-inspiring! The Buddhist Baker! Can you get your own TV show? Like The Choir, but with bakes? Wishing you every happiness.

Catton Hall is a wonderful venue! Wishing you all the very best on your baking endeavours. Despite being a little obsessed with baking myself this was the first GBBO I’ve watched and thoroughly enjoyed it. After watching your swan choux I’m even tempted to give the pastry a go myself – this is one recipe I just have a mental block over…surely it’s not as scary to make in real life?

Inspired by GBBO, I spent a week with my sister in Cornwall discovering whether or not I could do this baking thing. As a life-long non cook,I wasn’t expecting much, but the results-much to my astonishment-were quite reasonable and seemed to be generally appreciated.
Consequentially,I’ve signed up for the Brilliant Baking course. This is possibly a step to far. I’m starting to get very nervous..
